After writing a folk based pop tune my goal was to record it entirely with acoustic instruments. Beside my Martin acoustics (D-28 and Dreadnaught Junior) I used my Kala baritone uke, Fender CB-60SCE acoustic bass, Seagull Merlin guitar dulcimers, and a Meinl tambourine and LP shakers for good measure.

So many of my songs keep bringing me back to the topic of "home." Sorrow On the Trail explores the inevitable sorrow that we all must face on life's trail and the elusive yearning we experience for a place called home.
